| Powder Coating We use high quality & durable powder coated finishes on our chassis & parts. We offer any custom color including glossy clear coat finishes for that "trick" hot rod look. WHAT IS POWDER COATING? Powder coating is a method of applying a protective finish to a wide range of products. The powder used for the process is a mixture of finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which is sprayed with a spray gun that electrostatically charges the powder. The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded part until heated and fuse into a smooth coating in a curing oven. BENEFITS OF POWDER COATING? Powder coating is significantly more durable than painting. It is exremely resistant to chips, abrasion, heat up to 400 degree F, fuel and a variety of chemicals & it's up to 10 times more durable then paint. No more runs, drips that you would get when using traditional paint. Powder is available in virtually unlimited colors and textures, many of which are in stock colors already at no extra charge to you or the added inconvience and expense of waiting for the powder to be ordered.
